Hi, I’m Jenn Menser.
I’m an artist, educator, photographer, and proud wife and mother of two girls, with over a decade of experience teaching high school art. Creativity has always been at the heart of my life, and in addition to photography, I also create custom paintings for clients looking for one-of-a-kind, meaningful artwork.
Through Painted Lens Arts & Photography, I focus on capturing more than just images — I aim to preserve emotion, connection, and the fleeting moments that make each stage of life so meaningful. With an artist’s eye and a thoughtful, guided approach, I blend technical skill with creativity to create timeless photographs and custom artwork.
While posed portraits are part of the process, some of my favorite images come from the candid, in-between moments — the laughter, quiet connections, and genuine expressions. From families and children to seniors, couples, and growing families, every session is crafted with care to tell your unique story and create memories you’ll cherish for years to come.

From start to finish, working with Jenn was an absolute dream. She went above and beyond in every sense of the phrase. Not only was she incredibly flexible and patient throughout Jax’s senior photo session, but she also made the entire experience feel personal, relaxed, and truly fun.
She took the time to listen to every single suggestion and make sure Jax felt comfortable and authentic in each pose - asking him if it felt natural, if it felt like him. That level of thoughtfulness and care is rare. She also has an amazing eye for detail, spotting creative backdrops, and hidden gems in our surroundings that elevated every shot from ‘great’ to ‘wow.’
And then came the turnaround time - absolutely mind-blowing! We booked the Deluxe package which included expedited editing, but never in a million years did we expect to have a complete, beautifully edited portfolio within 24 hours. She didn’t just deliver quickly; she went the extra mile by accepting edit requests and turning them around in real time, sending us both the originals and revised photos within minutes.
She even took an impromptu family photo for us that we’ll treasure forever - such a thoughtful touch on an already special day.
